Superdome Food

This past weekend, I noticed huge no no in some culinary tastes. I saw the Superdome added beans in their chili for hot dogs.
I guess ground beef has gotten so expensive that if you add some pinto beans cooked down you get extra protein mixed in and some people may not notice the difference. Maybe it is a Legends difference, and Jerry Jones is sharing his culinary recipes.
A chili with beans is reserved for serving over chips instead of over a hot dog.
Sorry if I am a culinary snob complaining about the food.

We haven’t had the option chili in the 600s in probably 10 years.

I saw 3 puny chicken tenders and some fries for sale for $20. Nope! Nope! Nope!

The thing I bought the last few years wasn’t available this Sunday which pissed me off.
Burnt end nachos. Best thing in the dome. $19

The oil they use to fry those tenders is wretched

People still eat this junk? How much they charge for a hot dog now? Beer?

Some way somehow this is Spencer Rattlers fault.

No complaints about the price?

Eat before or after the game. I promise that you can go 3 hours watching a football game without eating.

agreed. beans in h-dog chili is ridiculous.
I get the noon game times, but still there are far too many amazing options throughout New Orleans for me to settle for whatever they’re dishing out in the dome. Moving away made me miss the food so much more.

My food choice for a Saints home game is Bud Light.

Let’s not forget the popcorn that was popped five days in advance.

How about cups of jambalaya, red beans, and shrimp étouffée.
Visiting tourists and fans of the Saints opponents may eat this up and pay a premium for it.

Only if it is cooked by someone who likes to cook in a cast iron pot in a parking lot.
Not sure if the advanced culinary degreed chefs would stoop to that low to cook that way.
Otherwise they would cook some concoction that needs to be thrown in the long grass or they would butcher a premade bag of jambalaya from Diversified Foods.

how about you eat before you go to the game?

It’s all not worth what they charge. Eat before you go.

I can tell you from first hand experience and seeing it, they let the grease in the fryers sit there for very long, extended periods.
