Why is Theo Von a Vandy fan?

I get he lives in Nashville, but he’s from Covington, LA. I expect he will be cheering for Vandy on 10/18

Hes an lsu fan too
Hes just jumping on board to Vandy bc of the hype and interest around their program with Pavia
If Vandy went back to 2-10 next year you'd likely never hear him talk about them

Honestly, if LSU can’t make a run, Vandy is to ONLY other SEC team I’d pull for to do it.

Probably just because he’s been in Nashville for a while now. Vandy’s the local team, and he jokes about them a lot on his podcast. I don’t think he’s a hardcore fan or anything more like a “cheer for the hometown team” type deal. He’s still a Louisiana guy at heart.

The only thing I was winning in life vs my brother who graduated from Vandy was football. Now even that's been taken away from me... This sucks and whoever posted this thread to ruin my weekend also sucks!!

He lives in Nashville and was invited to Vandy's facilities last year and they asked him to be on the sidelines for a game. He is a sports fan in general so he just started pulling for them after that. He is also a LSU fan.

This is true, but he literally went to LSU and wrote articles for the Reveille.
It’s all an act though. A couple of years ago he said he converted to a hardcore Tennessee fan because of a game he went to there.
He also threw Gatorade on Huepel in 2022. You don’t become a Tennessee fan and then magically convert to a Vandy fan. It’s all for content.
