What do you recommend? Just husband and I.

I usually stay on Yale Ave when I’m in Tulsa so have had lunch at Charleston’s many times. Menu is not huge but the food is always good.

I am aware it is not a food town but we have business/appointments there every few months so better lunch spots are helpful.
OK - adding bbq to the list
I have never crossed the river either.

Valkyrie for a cocktail then Bull in the Alley. Absolutely love Tulsa and the art deco buildings downtown

Yeah, I was there twice this summer and it was very underwhelming...

Shawkat's Deli - Very good middle eastern food... well, it was good about 15 years ago when I was there. It reminds me of Atcha, which was a great place on Nicholson. Everything is served on styrofoam plates, but the food is awesome.

Get there around 11 or the line starts getting long. Love the ribs and the grilled potato salad "grilled potatoes, onion and bell pepper" is amazing. They also hand out ribs while you are in line to snack on before you order.
Have a safe trip to Tulsa.
