Kelly says Nuss will be back to his usual self

Geezus I hope not. He has been awful all season. Will he ever even approach expectations. I doubt it.

I really hope some of you get off of the computer/phone and go outside this weekend. Goodness gracious.

Is that supposed to excite anyone?

I mean he can't get much worse. But you also can't fix throwing randomly into triple coverage. Nuss is just who he is. And he's not very good

No, he said that Nuss will be the player he needs to be. He didn't say he will be back to what he was before.

I just know that Nuss is not playing anywhere near as well as he did last season, for whatever reason. I know he's not as healthy.
Kelly, like so many coaches, seems to think that a team needs a 35 point lead before the backups start coming in. There was certainly no need to play Nuss in the opening series of the second half, and yes, the Tigers would have won handily even if Van Buren had played the entire game.

I hope i never see him grab his chin strap straps and hold them then yank them aggressively off the clip after either throwing a pick or missing someone wide open.
That gives me the ick every time. Looks like a middle school football player when he does that.

Let’s assume for a moment that at least some of this is true.
Then why, IN THE NAME OF ZEUS’ BUTTHOLE, did Nuss play a down of the SLU game let alone well into the third quarter? Wouldnt the rest be more beneficial than reps against a completely overmatched team that your otherworldly defense allowed to gain a whopping 33 yards of offense in the first half?
Make it make sense Rant. Because somebody’s lying to us.

I, for one, am enjoying him being in a tight spot

Kelly would never lie. Right?

Posted on 10/2/25 at 10:44 am to Tigers4Lyfe
He has played like A$$ all season.
Posted on 10/2/25 at 10:45 am to idlewatcher
I am beginning to conclude that this is true.

This didnt make any sense to me at all.
Was it to pad his stats for the Heisman- no idea what BK/Nuss is thinking.

Those two are not thinking. BK with respect to offense this year is hauntingly similar to Les Fricking We Don't Need No Stinking QB Miles.

We don't have a quarterback problem we have a coaching problem. If you Kelly can't see that Nuss is not getting us anywhere. Our offense has shown little of know running the football. We expected to the be throwing the ball over the place. We have been.
Our QB2 needs a shot and Nuss needs to recoup
I know it was Southeaster when they put QB2 in the game they moved the ball and he looked good, ran when he had to and made good passes. He looked comfortable in the position.
Yes Nuss is not at 100% and maybe less than @ 75% . But when you leave a player out that that is hurt you are asking for more injury and you aren't doing anything to help him get better.
I'm going to tell you that I'm not a Kelley Fan.
But he sits on side line watching the game but there is no course correction.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result.
