Prov1 left dot, played a couple rounds with them

I have to say I didn't notice much of a difference compared to my prov1x i usually play
I really enjoyed the softer feel of the left dot
I'm shocked Titleist releases these so seldom, really is a great feeling and mannered ball.
I would definitely game these over my prov1x
Still had good spin on iron shots and around the green. I didn't notice much height difference on the driver or fairway woods. The feel of the softer ball is much appreciated
Anyone else playing these?

I’ve been messing with the left dash. It’s about a mile and a half faster on the driver but my word it’s hard to spin long irons. It’s about 600 rpm less spin on driver and mid to long irons. I’m about 113/170 with a driver and 93/130 with a 7 iron and I don’t think that’s sufficient speed to play the left dash. I’ll go back to the ProV1 most likely.

Agreed. I cant spin my irons much with the left dash. It's very long off the tee though.
Possible user error would be me sometimes forgetting that not only is it long off the tee, it's long from the fairway too. Played with it one round and i kept over shooting the green.

I got a couple of boxes to test out, I have a feeling i will go back to gaming my normal TP5X

Purchased a box. They sold out quick. I play the left dash so am curious on any perceivable differences. Marketing says it’s supposed to be lower flight but slightly higher spin on the driver as compared to the left dash. I have too much spin so need the lower spin options. Left dash is hard but it’s never bothered me with feel.

If you can’t find these, give the Z Star XV a try. Same idea as the left dash but I find it more consistent off the irons and wedges. Only issue is it’s slightly less durable

Great ball, especially into the wind. I think the left dash is a little hotter though on longer clubs.

You average >1.5 smash on driver and 1.4 smash on 7 iron?
I believe you.

If I post photos today, would you take a ban bet?
1.50 smash factor is what pretty much anyone under a 10 spin loft would be if they hit it in the face with a driver.
Why would a 1.4 smash factor with a 7 iron be high? On irons that’s typically what you’ll see with shallower draggers.

You don’t think the variation on iron smash factor of good players is because of quality of strike, right?

Spin loft is what causes smash factor to go down on irons. Higher spin loft, less the golf ball compresses. If you’re someone who’s shallow, you’ll get more compression and less spin (like myself). Tour players want a higher spin loft because with a higher spin loft the ball curves less. They achieve this by a steeper AOA which causes their smash factor to be lower. Trackman recently came out with a number called smash index which is more of a quality of strike number.

Got in a dozen Dots and Left Dash’s but loving the ‘25 V1X, will test them all against one another tomorrow
