It's actually about extending Healthcare Premium Tax Credits for lower income working American citizens.
You can't get a Tax Credit unless you have taxable income and you file a Tax Return with a SSN proving that you're a citizen.
Much of Trump's base is low income WORKING people that will lose health insurance if the Tax Credits aren't extended,
I am actually shocked that Trump supports this since it F's over his base.

It also isn't Welfare, it's a Tax Credit for working citizens that are paying part of the premium.
No different that Tax Credits that people get for having children or any other tax credit.
I think it's stupid to punish working American citizens who are trying to be responsible and purchase insurance.
Especially since most of then voted for Trump.
Poor people that don't work get Welfare & vote Democrat,
Poor people that work get the Tax Credit and vote Republican.
Pretty stupid of the Republicans to do away with the credit.

Kind of disturbing that 47% of Democrats polled were in favor of shutting down the government over healthcare for illegals.

It's what I voted for! Those corrupt demons in DC want everyone to think that a government shutdown would be a big deal!!! Lol. No. It won't. All we need from the federal government is "essential government functions".

Those "temporary" credits that are covered under the CR. That has essentially been approved twice before
