Just finished watching, and of course our chances for today was slim to none going into Day 3. but what a great watch!!!
Early on got scary as hell. Lots of blue all over the leader board... Then things going good on the back 9 for us... All that blue started disappearing.. Rough start in some matches. Bryson all screwed up early on. Down 5 and came back. His comeback was freaking amazing. Dude played his freaking heart out. This is great. Let's freaking go,
I hate we lost, but we put up a freaking fight. It was fun to watch. That would've been an amazing comeback.
Can't wait for the next one. Let's go take it!!!

So Europe basically faked an injury to secure a half point, that is such a European thing to do ...

Yeah that rule needs to change

I am not sure most know exactly how close Americans were to winning the Cup even with their pathetic play the first two days.
If Europe was forced to forfeit a full point instead of splitting equally
If Henley doesn't leave his final putt short and makes it...he wins a full point not a half
If Sam Burns two putts 18....no doubt he would have if his point meant anything at all, then Burns wins a full point
That would be a total addition of 1/1/2 more points for Americans and the loss of 1 1/2 points less for Europe.
If that happened , America wins 14 1/2 to 13 1/2.....so it was very close
Even with the rule of splitting instead of a forfeit....it would have been a tie 14-14, just if Henley makes his putt ahead of Lowery.

What worse is the US did not take the Ryder Cup serious at all. Europe played 18 holes at Bethpage 8 times leading up to the event. The US played 9 holes twice. Complete failure of leadership.

I agree, it doesn't feel like the recent U.S. teams take it as seriously anymore. A few players might, but overall, it just doesn't carry the same sense of pride and nostalgia it once did. The European teams clearly want it more and seem to enjoy the experience a lot more, too.

And both teams were given all three pin placements prior to the start. They only knew the pin placements, not which day each would be used.
You can tell which team spent a lot of time learning all the breaks around those three pin placements.

Colt Knost, on his radio show, said that Scottie played 66 holes of team play. Europe made 32 birdies against him. Two of those matches were alternate shot. We could have had 12 Scottie's and couldn't beat that.
