Lack of running game for yrs has been a problem. Oline blocked well last yr for pass protection. JD5 saved Kelly so many times with his legs and hid the lack of running game blocking.

This yr this oline can’t block a 3 man rush, defenses are able to cover up the WR’s and Nuss has very small windows.

Nuss is not comfortable, short throwing many balls, not getting them up to tall Wr’s. This starts with a oline problem and it’s effecting Nuss’s confidence causing him to make bad decisions.

This falls on Kelly and the oline coach

It’s OL and it has been for years.

Maybe it’s not all Sloan, but you can’t wash the stink off this offense that easily.

Everyone on that side of the ball from Sloan down needs to be terminated. Save Wilson and move on.

Doesn’t Kelly specialize in oline development??

Or am I getting him mixed up with miles already? Lol

The OL don't understand their assignments. The OL don't understand their assignments because Kelly's bullshite zone blocking scheme is too much for them. Put a fricking hat on a hat and block the guy in front of you. This is not a complicated game. It's only complicated because Brian Kelly.

Everyone can blame the QB all they want, but when you cannot run the ball at all and you cannot block 3 with 5, the OL is your biggest problem. As bad as the OL is I cannot see any possible way we can beat Bama, A&M, or OU.

When we got Kelly I thought he would bring us elite offensive lines. Not this shite.

Yes we see the OL problems....Will see what happens in 2 weeks but I am confident we will be fine...The best OC in perhaps all of college football did enough to beat us...I did not see a undefeated season and I expected 4-1 at this point...In case you noticed everybody will lose this season....Berry needs to play I don't care how many plays he knows he and durham should be the 1-2...

Thank God LSU didn't hire Kevin Mawae.

I can't imagine how bad the line would be because of his lack of coaching experience...

Here is what the running game looked like with just the running backs' numbers for the last 4 years. Right around 5.4, the first two years.

2022 - 305 carries for 1640 yards, 5.38 YPC, 28 TDs,long of 50. 21.79 carries per game, 117.14 YPG

2023 - 281 carries for 1516 yards, 5.40 YPC, 22 TDs, long of 67. 21.62 carries per game, 116.62 YPG

2024 - 318 carries for 1460 yards, 4.59 YPC, 12 TDs, long of 86. 24.46 carries per game, 112.31 YPG

2025 - 89 carries for 358 yards, 4.02 YPC, 4 TDs, long of 51. 17.8 carries per game, 71.6 YPG

For Comparison

2021 - 332 carries for 1517 yards, 4.57 YPC, 8 TDs, long of 40. 25.54 carries per game, 116.692307692308 YPG

2019 - 369 carries for 2122 yards, 5.75 YPC, TDs, long of 89. 24.6 carries per game, 141.47 YPG

These are running back only numbers because I felt that is the only way to really compare the run game situation relative to the running backs and the base of any running program that can carry forward regardless of the QB's rushing ability.

This year, we definitely need more rushing attempts, IMO. We are giving that up too early.
