I seriously do not understand how you have a kid with profound autism and you have a PC reporting a revised recommendation based on an article published by the Harvard School of Public Health following a review of all published data and you are pissed off bc someone has identified one potential origin of the problem.

I have a friend whose kid has profound autism. She shared this ridiculous meme that says “Marked safe from taking medical advice from someone who cannot pronounce acetaminophen.” Her child (who is now in his 20s) is literally nonverbal. This is the same friend who during Covid was a full on maskaholic. With what proof? She has total TDS to the point where I just don’t discuss politics with her.

At least CDC this time has an actual STUDY.

She’s like the pregnant idiots who are chugging Tylenol for no reason. These same people are probably avoiding turkey sandwiches, sushi and wine for 9 months with blind acceptance. Hell I don’t know why a blue cheese is forbidden for 9 mos- but all my prego friends from days of yore were almost obnoxious to go to lunch with bc of all their dietary criteria. Like shouting to the world. Look at me - I’m pregnant- I can’t have a club sandwich- I’m so special. Almost bragadocious about it. I was ALWAYS fine with it bc blue cheese and sushi were inordinate risks that would harm them or the baby if any of it even came near them.

So the suggestion that you take the lowest dose for the shortest period of time if you have a fever is batshit?!?

Even better are these memes circulating saying that there is “no evidence that Tylenol is unsafe for pregnant ladies.” Ummm. There is, in a published study by the Harvard School of Public Health.

My ONLY concern about this announcement is that it didn’t emphasize what logically seems to be the real culprit- giving a baby Tylenol before AND after Vaccines. WTAF? This is the medical advice that my above-described friend and millions of other women took from their doctors.

I think it’s bc these women who have autistic children hear it as blaming them for their child’s autism. Girl. ITS NOT YOUR FAULT. Nobody blames you. But why would you wish this on someone else. And if you’re one of these idiots chugging Tylenol- why the AF would you risk it?

It is quite simply, insanity. TDS is a neurological disorder. It eats your brain and common sense.

This is quite a rational, thought out post.

Unfortunately the target audience that actually needs to hear this is neither rational nor well thought out in their positions.

These people think with their emotions and so it will fall on deaf ears for the people that need it most.

Unfortunately, social media Facebook has cured me of a lot of old friends. I’ve known this girl basically since high school only to learn that she’s absolutely clueless on how the real world actually works.

The short version is that she is intelligent, ambitious, attractive, and very well established in her business career. By no means is she some blue haired land whale or insufferable Karen. Yet despite all her “knowledge“ she seems oblivious to the idea that climate change has absolutely nothing to do with earthquakes or volcanic activity. She groups everything on to one big “man caused“ crisis that needs to be addressed immediately. Or we’re all doomed! Is she blonde? Yes, of course she is. but unfortunately, like so many in this world today she is a product of the mass misinformation put out by the government and corporate news media.

It really is. I have dumped many acquaintances that were once considered "normal" people. They have bought the MSM lies hook, line, and sinker.

They also still believe Trump said to inject bleach. They are nutjobs.

Back in the 80’s when you were pregnant you took NO pills besides prenatal vitamins. News to me that Tylenol was EVER okayed during pregnancy.

And if there’s warnings surrounding a medication during pregnancy or to give to your child, why would you dare take the chance unless it is your last option? I would exhaust everything BEFORE trying the contentious medicine, even if I’m skeptical of the validity of the study. I’m not taking a chance with the health of my child.

And I’m especially not taking the chance to prove a political point. Selfish, spiteful leftist women are the bane of our society.

Imaging the hate of a man being greater than your love for an innocent child. Sickening

It isn’t what was said, it was who said it.

Had Biden or Obama or any other Democrat made those proclamations, the response from Democrats would be exactly opposite.

Whether the Tylenol concerns are true or not, the response from progressives are based SOLELY on the fact that it was the Trump administration making these statements.

Why are we at a place where it’s almost civil war for right and left? Chugging Tylenol because Trump says it’s bad for you and your baby. It’s more important to say frick you to Trump than to take care of your unborn child to these women. If they are willing to do that they are willing to kill anyone that disagrees with you. There is a mental illness that is not possible to fix

I think this might have something to do with it. Anyone that has an "off" child has that nagging little feeling, wondering if they did something wrong.

So far as the medical professionals going into overdrive- some seem to be taking it personally, others have TDS, some (one on this board) are understandably concerned of unintended consequences such as untreated fevers or worse, forgoing Tylenol but taking a different OTC that is even worse.

Its because mothers of autistic children can't bear the thought that they may have unknowingly caused their children's autism.

I use that metric for profiling purposes. Anyone who says that is immediately identified as an imbecile.
