NSFW. Also has some bad language if that bothers you. This is mind blowing and we are still in its infancy.

Soon an overwhelming majority will be AI generated. This is all AI except for the lyrics.

Some will, sure. But there is a large percentage of music fans that don't even currently like synthesized/electronic or overly-produced music. They certainly won't like AI music.

Some people will listen to any crap, so it will have some level of acceptance. But people are caught up in stars and celebrities. AI music will be missing the personal element, with no celebrity gossip, fashion, etc.

I also believe much of these "AI songs" still have a level of human involvement and are not as AI as they would lead you to believe.

Some of these AI-generated reimaginings can be fun. This one's my favorite now.

That's pretty cool. Once AI learns to create vocals that aren't tinny, it will become near impossible for the naked ear to discern AI from reality. We are entering some concerning times

This shouldn't be this good.

Most people don't listen to music, they listen to musicians.

When I hear a song, if I like it, I have to know who sings it. A quick search will tell you its origin. You may be fooled for a moment, but not for long.

People like musicians and bands. They like the personalities, the drama, the gossip, the fashion, the concerts, etc. AI will have a role, but it's not taking over.

There was a backlash against disco. There was a backlash against techno and other overly produced studio creations. There was a backlash against boy bands, and other groups that don't play their own instruments.

There will be a backlash against this.

But it's not good, and any decent soul band could replicate that type of cover. Maybe this will appeal to the small amount of people who sing along to muzak at the grocery store, but I don't see it as any kind of future of music.

It's a novelty, nothing more. No different than the talking babies videos.

This might be one of the best covers I've ever heard. A straight Church anthem.
