Hoshizaki ice machine

Came home yesterday to it draining way too much. Water is flowing as it should in the inside but the cooper tubing is warm, ice melting, and condensation all over on the inside. I unplugged it for 30 minutes and turned it on again. It ran fine at first, copper tubing was cold and it was chilly on the inside. 30 minutes later it was warm again. Haven’t had time to really mess with it yet. Any suggestions? And any repair recommendations in the hammond areas? Thanks

Solar Appliance and Repair is who I recommend you call.

Our Hoshizaki ice machine is five years old and I clean and sanitize it twice a year. It’s had a few problems but it’s been really reliable. You must use their cleaning solution for the wash cycle. Lots of videos on YouTube as well on how to repair and clean properly.

Mine was doing the same thing recently. Exact same symptoms. Unplug it, then plug it back in and it worked for a small amount of time then go back to not cooling. I took it out, drained everything out of it, and scrubbed everything on the unit down. It's run without issue for 2 months now. Make sure the air filter area is clean and blow out the electrical compartment.
I reckon mine isn't long for this world. I'm on a well and calcium builds up bad on it quickly. I don't have room for it in the house so it is in the garage where it collects tons of dust. Working on finding it a home inside the house, but not looking good at the moment.

It helps. It’s inside at our new house. It helps tremendously.

If you call someone prepare thy anus.
If it’s cooling for 30 mins it doesn’t sound like a compressor or refrigerant issue. If the water is flowing im not sure why cleaning it would help but idk, I would assume mineral build up would prevent water flowing properly.
ETA: dirty air filter would make sense. It’s not getting good enough air flow to release the hot air and has some sort of overheat prevention built in.

I got home from work and took it all apart. I just cleaned it about a month ago so it wasn’t dirty. I messed with the automatic float and pushed it up and down with my finger about 10 times. For whatever reason it’s been running just fine now for a couple hours. Hopefully no more issues!

I'm not up on Hoshizaki.
They are actually pretty simple but usually it's a pump or sensor that fails. I know Kitchenaid icemakers well since they brake so often. But i have unit ever seen a handful of Hoshizaki nigget machines.
