I wanna see UF @ Cameron in December but the cheapest ticket is $1490 so far. Could I wait until the day of the game and buy from a scalper for a lot cheaper?

Depends on how bad Florida is.

Well we're the defending champs and probably preseason top 10.

I can afford it but I'm a cheapskate. Hard pill to swallow paying almost $1500 just for a regular season game.

You probably arent getting in cheaper than $750 or so. You're spending $200+ on shite ACC games against Pitt or Stanford. Cameron is tiny and season ticket holders arent letting those tickets out of their hands for any discount. Also, if Duke looks legit and the Boozer twins are the real deal, its going to increase.

I was in the area last year and saw Duke play Maine for $150 ticket. But that was Maine and not a top 10 matchup like UF.

A better strategy would be to rizz you up one of the many foreign students and take her ticket

Don't know why but this comment made me laugh at my desk.

Seat Geek an hour before the game.

She didn't spend two weeks camping out in Kville to just float her ticket to some rando.
If she does give it up you gonna have to steal her ID and have a wig and makeup ready.
To the OP. Especially if you are travelling, don't take a chance getting cheap tickets for Cameron it is so small and the following is so big you are begging for a bad time.
Assuming you haven't been to Cameron Indoor don't expect it to be comfortable and even if it is cold outside, wear a layer over a T-shirt you can strip off. It can get downright hot even in January. Also don't buy seats at the ends of the court, they suck. Also, NEVER buy Section 13 seats as they come with bad luck built in. There are structural beams there, and unless you really know where they are and which seats are beside or partially behind them don't take a chance. I sat there once for a UNC game when they were the only seats I could get, and even knowing going in it still sucked.

Since the game is in early December, while students are all still on campus, there won’t be any openings in a large scale.
Surely there will be tickets on StubHub and Seat Geek, but I suspect prices will only go up. You may be able to buy from a scalper but I’m always nervous about traveling somewhere without a ticket.
If you’re in Raleigh or somewhere, that’s fine. But if you’re going from Florida to Durham, without a ticket, that is quite a risk.
