as usual, i wait to long, and hotels close to lexington are booked, or price has gone thru the roof.
what are nice towns near or within 30mins that would be good to stay at?
Also, might go to the kentucky game the 18th, and wondered how parking is.

We stayed in Frankfort last time we went there for a football game. Not that far away, and it's the state capital. Same town were Buffalo Trace distillery is located.

New spot in Bardstown, probably 45 min from Keeneland. Bourbon centric if that’s your thing. Great restaurant on-site.
Trail Hotel
Did not check prices, it may be high but it’s supposed to be great.

Price isn't a big thing, I'm going, planning on whizzing a good chunk of money
I just didn't want to pay $260 a night at red roof

Bardstown is a good 45 min drive from Lexington. Not a bad option, I would suggest you look at Harrodsburg or Danville.

I have stayed at both the Holiday Inn and Hyatt Place on the east side. Walkable restaurants. Both hotels are decent.

I have also stayed at Tru by Hilton in Richmond recently. Nice place but no frills.
