To be fair once someone signs a baseball you can right whatever message you want on it.

quote:

his signature is guaranteed to be 100% authentic.

I remember him. One of the best closers in the history of MLB. I guess Goise Gossage knows how to bring the heat in more ways than one.

I suppose you could, but the added message does not make it worth that much more, so why would someone waste the time?

I don’t know but that is exactly what they did. That’s why it says the signature is guaranteed. Not the message.

He got another one signed "HOF 2008 310 Saves and a shitload of strikeouts."

If that was a Donald Trump signed ball with him writing that same message you’d be looking at 6 figures easily.

It's real. Real fake.

The text of the description reads:
quote:

it comes with a COA issued by Sportsworld; New England's Largest Sports Memorabilia Store

It's got a COA from a reseller! This company is not a recognized authentication grader in the baseball industry. They are being self-serving here. I won't believe this really came from Goose unless it was authenticated by a respected and recognized COA issuing expert.

That's because someone is much more likely to write "HoF 2008" after the ball is signed.

That doesn't mean anything. If you're selling an authentic signed piece of memorabilia what matters is the authenticity of the signature.
