If you like crazy, confusing evil shite, watch Weapons.

Whatever you do dont watch it at night, "high or tripping on acid" watching it sober was weird enough to frick your head up.

I did laugh but the movie didnt intend for it to be funny.

Im trying to however understand the evil old bitch's reasoning for doing what she was doing? Was she becoming stronger as people died or got possessed?

Zach Cregger the director was part of The Whitest Kids U' Know, I do think his comedy is intentional. The absurdity of the children doing that and breaking through the windows of the house. Everything is quiet for the family in the house and then all hell breaks loose for them

He has an excellent knack for building tension, nonlinear contributes to that but that one scene in the car when she snips some hair..that was something

It reminded me of a Stephen King story. Small town, gets into tge lives of several characters, outside evil. Except the ending was great.

Ikr, just a crazy movie. Was still trying to understand that Ole hag's intentions by using whatever it was on the kid's parents and the 17 kids. What was she trying to accomplish? Was she growing younger/more powerful or something by possessing these people's souls?

The second half definitely and intentionally leans into comedy.

Very good film.

it seemed that way. Just wasnt any explanation for why she was doing what she was doing. She had no hair then hair. The tree was cursed or what

That depends on who’s watching it. A lot of people say it’s very funny.

My entire theater was laughing constantly.

I never understand that part. Why didn’t she curse/possess her?

Agreed though definitely a creepy scene, probably the eeriest scene in the movie

SPOILERS:

I think that the spell worked in the beginning, and she got better (grew younger), but then it seemed to fade. That's why she needed the children. I'm assuming that the tree was magic, but they never explained. Obviously you don't have to be a witch to perform the magic, since Alex was able to turn the spell against his aunt.
