Maybe I'm missing something because it's been years since I've placed a bet on damn near anything through a bookie or betting service, but back when I was betting this is how it went.
Saints at Seattle -7 1/2 points. I'd bet Seattle, lay the 71/2 points and if I was looking to try to win $100, I'd have to bet $110 to cover the vig.
Why in the hell would anyone risk $350 to win $100? I'll assume that would be a straight up bet with no points involved, but still sounds like a losing proposition in the long run to bet 3.5 times the money to win $100
