Am I not allowed to post yet or something?

I feel for anyone older who hasn't invested for their future and is within 5-10 years of retirement, but I invest each month for my retirement and will still be able to retire at 59.5 with only my 401k and IRA's. I'm already planning to not touch social security until 65 at the earliest and could go to full retirement age before taking it if I want to.

Something has to be done. The SS trust fund will be gone in 2033, meaning only 75% of current benefits will be paid out

Apparently he reduced your post count alter.

You millenials will have to work in the mines forever to support us boomers
It’s a good thing the timeshare company takes social security checks

Seriously what does that even mean?

FU dude. All generations prior to me could retire and receive SS benefits when they turned 65. When I was about 40 the federal govt broke this promise to me and raised the retirement age to 70. As a younger boomer I have already been subject to one major change in the system that negatively affected me.
I assume you are in a younger generation and can handle the next set of changes the same way I already have.

I don't owe you squat ZBoy. I retired from doing what I had to do at 47 and have been working only on endeavors I enjoy and derive satisfaction. I have really enjoyed the last 10 years.
Don't worry me taking your precious government money because I plane to never tough SS out of spite. I want nothing from this government.

The full retirement age was raised from 65 to 67. A solution must be found, but I do not believe that is possible, so you will see mandatory cuts go into affect starting in 2033.

You haven’t licked enough boots yet. Try again later.

I don’t have any facts to confirm it, but I would guess more people do than don’t.

Why is social security always broke but you never hear one politician say there is no more money for welfare and food stamps?
