If the bridges keep breaking in Terrebonne Parish, that is how we are going to have to cross the bayous.
All kidding aside, now that things have settled down one bridge has reopened but the traffic due to resurfacing around that bridge are still creating bottlenecks until the Dularge Overpass opens in a few weeks.
Fun fact back in the 1980’s, a made for TV movie/failed pilot was filmed in Houma called Three on a Match and the plot was whether a vehicle could do it.
That is the old Draw Bridge that was on the Main Street side by Terrebonne General. The full movie is on YouTube including commercials from the 1980’s.

They were making the way, the only way they knew how. Unfortunately, jumping a bridge is just a little bit more than the law allows....

One day the mountain might get em but the law never will

I saw this earlier.
I heard the suspect has been in trouble with the law since the day he was born.

So I was just thinking back...I used to watch that show all the time as a kid and I can't remember what laws they broke that lead to Roscoe and Cooter always trying to arrest them.
Were they running drugs or something? Speeding? Doing awesome jumps?

Uncle Jesse was caught moonshining/bootlegging.
part of his sentence was all his family was under probation and surveillance for generations going forward.

It was also the fact that the Dukes were the biggest obstacles to Boss Hogg and Roscoe's schemes of dubious legality.
