Not a bad way to go. I knew an older guy many years ago that had left a poker game we were playing in after he busted out. I run into his son the next day and he told me his dad died during the night.

Seems the old guy went home, climbed into bed next to his wife and when she woke up in the morning she found him dead lying right next to her. She hadn't felt or heard a thing, so it must have been very peaceful.

Redford was a great actor and I often find myself watching "Jeramiah Johnson" when it is shown. One of my favorite movies by him from his list of excellent films.

RIP Mr. Redford

Let’s be honest… all our moms masturbated to this guy. They were gushing over his performance in The Way We Were with Babs Streissand.

He was a talented director as well as actor.
Ordinary People, Quiz Show, Milagro Beanfield War…

The Sundance Institute has been successful and has produced talented filmmakers.

I was a huge Twilight Zone fan as a kid. Reruns of that show were abundant, still are. First thing I remember seeing Redford in; he played “Death.”

You're not doing my eulogy.

Hell, you're not invited to my funeral.

Ha! Guilty as charged. Proud black sheep of the family. Skillset includes: making things awkward at the get togethers. Not quite Michael and Jan dinner party awkward, but definitely something along the lines of bumping into an ex and her new boyfriend and saying something like, “good luck in there” as I walk away.

A River Runs Through It - one of the greatest of all time. It's unreal how much Pitt looked like the young Redford.

All Is Lost - this was pretty ambitious for how old he was at the time. I loved it.

RIP

Another one he did later in his career was A Walk In the Woods. While it didn't exactly get glowing reviews I enjoyed that one.

One of my all time favorite actors.
Doesn't get any better than Robert Redford and Paul Newman together.
RIP Sundance......
