Actually, Mayfield would have failed here.
Tampa had a great recieving core when Brady left.
Even if Mayfield came here,, He would have failed.
He would have gotten Hurt behind the Saints O-Line.
We would have squandered Mayfields Best years with Street WRs.
Honestly, I wanted Mayfield over Carr.
Mayfield has fight in him. Reminded me of a younger Drew Brees.
But Tampa, really is the best spot for him. I like watching him in Tampa and rooting for him.
Tampa had a great recieving core when Brady left.

we could have sure, but what makes you think he would have been good under Carmichael? i am more inclined to believe he would have been the Baker of Cleveland, vs what he is now in Tampa.
I like the guy, but noone was poised to have success here since Drew retired. i wanted Carr to succeed here because we brought him in and I wanted us to win, but despite what you think of the guy - our OC and Oline did him absolutely no favors at all.

Well you never go out on a limb and say anything of substance. Just combative nonsense. Make a prediction, tell us what you think will happen, are you optimistic with the saints organization? You think Mickey's recent track record proves we are in the midst of a successful rebuild?

I’ll say this. I really like Baker. I always have. I just like how competitive he is. He had an incredible year last year and i know this sounds insane but he isn’t an elite level qb that wins you a championship. I think Tampa is a good team, they’re about 4 great players away from truly competing for a Super Bowl. He needs an elite level defense and elite level playmakers surrounding him on offense to ever get to that point. Is he better than what we have? Of course. But they’re a long way away from truly competing.

You're embellishing, I've never ranted about how I know Nuss will be the next great pick. Its basically impossible to predict how QBs will transition to the nfl. The greatest QB of all time almost never played in the NFL. Lol not surprised you're missing the point. Tank for Nuss, tank for Mateer, tank for Manning. Doesn't matter just fricking tank and punch your lottery ticket. Get it over with. If you have a top pick the media basically tells you who you're picking.
