What’s wrong with Nuss?

He’s been throwing 60 yard bombs down the field since he was a freshman. Now he won’t take a shot down the field. Only throwing slants and screens.

When he did try a deep ball against LaTech, he under threw it by 10 yards and it got intercepted.

Is he dealing with an injury to his throwing arm? Or is this just all on play calling??

I mean, the play calling is atrocious so that's a huge part of it. And I don't know if Sloan's scheme is too complex or just stupid but Nuss never really looks comfortable out there.

I feel like they're so worried about him turning it over that they have him on the shortest leash imaginable because he really, really doesn't take a lot of opportunities throughout the game. And we know he has the arm to throw it anywhere on the field.

I think he has a small injury. Several
passes seemed to lack the usual zip. Some good throws were made too. Got Southeastern this week, then a week to rest before going to Oxford.

The play calling is either protecting a 5th year senior or coddling him

We can't run the ball for shite, and our coaches are handcuffing our biggest offensive weapon? Surely that can't be true.

Those WR’s have got to be pissed. It’s costing them some exposure

Is the play calling atrocious or is the execution the problem? Serious question.

Play calling is not right. Nuss is not 100%. Both will improve.

His knee, and I believe it’s a tad worse than we are led to believe. Most definitely not himself. Also would make sense as to why he isn’t taking off more. Looks timid to me. And for good reason. From all reports of the backups, if he goes down we are in for a world of hurt.

I don’t get it either.

Go back and watch him against UGA, in the SEC Championship as a redshirt freshman against an elite defense.

He was zinging frozen ropes all over the field… the INT against Tech made me wonder if there is an injury. Stepped into the throw, no pressure, and lobbed up a duck.

If he has anything nagging, don’t play him this week. Hell I wouldn’t risk any starters.

That's fair but if the execution is the problem then you have to scheme around it and find whatever is going to work best for what you have to use.

There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of adjusting for anything.

Well, oddly held out in fall camp because “throwing limit”. Then whatever knee issues

The guy threw for 4000 last year. It’s not play calling

It seems like he’s just not that accurate. He’s never really been super accurate I think a lot of us were just hoping for even a slight improvement this yeqr

I would bet a lot of money that there is some significant physical problem that is also mentally handicapping him. His mechanics are way off, his balance is off, his vision is off, his confidence is off. He is not the Nussmeier of old.
