What happened to accepting "ugly wins!"

I can remember just a few years ago, we would take a "W" regardless!

Not sugarcoating the fact our offense didn't perform well last night!

But, this is the same team that went into Clemson and pulled off a "W" to get us to 3-0 and most likely 4-0 before Ole Miss!!

For those of you old enough to remember, were you upset about the "Blue Grass Miracle" where we won on a fluke play? I can provide other examples of ugly wins, and no body can even remember those for now, given the whole body of work that year!!

Wake up! We're in the top 4, have a defense that is elite and as a team, won ugly, but won! Do you think the playoff committee in December will say LSU shouldn't be considered because of style points!
No one will give a crap!!

We beat a talented SEC team who had nothing to lose playing their asses off!!
Nothing is easy in the SEC! Our offense will improve to help the defense...the last few years, its been the opposite!

Defense wins championships!! We get a little help from the offense and we're good to go!

So, I'll take the "W" for now!

They very well could say this if we have 2 losses and we are making a case to be included.

We are currently so far above where the program was at that point.

John Mateer is not going to gift you 5 interceptions. Even with baiting the QB and disruption, you'll get 2 max from him.

You have to score more points. Plan and simple. That reporter asked what anyone with eyes has been wondering.

You know my thought when we got the ball back with 2 minutes to ice the game?

There is a 99.9% chance LSU gets in if they have 2 losses

I mean they left an undefeated ACC champion out 2 years ago because their QB was hurt, so it isn’t a stretch that they’d leave a 2 loss LSU team out because we have an offense ranked in the 100s

Your thoughts, as you yourself have outlined, simply appear to be closer to those of a scaredy-cat loser than those of an LSU Fighting Bengals Tiger…

It's a 12 team playoff so we don't need to worry about style points as long as we take care of business.

With 4 we could theoretically win the SEC and have the playoffs be Bama, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Southern Cal.

I'm happy with the win. But you can't blame anyone for being concerned about the future schedule. Road games @Ole Miss, @Bama, @Vandy, @OU, even home against A&M, the offense will most likely need to deliver in all of these games. Are we confident the offense is good enough for the team to go at least 3-2 against that group of teams? Because they need to do so in order to make the playoffs.

Why is it that fans can’t point out an obvious issue with our team? Some of you fans will refuse to discuss these issues simply because we won. I get that the W/L column is the only one that matters. I think where you are missing the point is that these issues/lack of issues, are what factor into the most important stat of all: W/L. We are towards the bottom of almost every single offensive category. We had 10 total first downs last night. If you don’t think these issues will ultimately cost us a game you are only kidding yourself.

Sure, If they keep winning none of this matters. They are about to be playing competent teams, though.

They were 2 plays from losing. If UF's TD wasn't called back and LSU doesn't get a pick 6, That's a loss in a game that UF largely dominated.
