What about the rushing stats? Surely those will be better right?

Do you really want to know where LSU ranks in rushing after week #3? Don't be too disappointed.

We can skip the league stats, we’re 116 in FBS rushing the ball.

What makes our offense so pathetic is that the coaches aren't smart enough to use the pass to set up the run.
This is so easy to do that people on Madden have figured it out.

If you look at the passing plays, most are the Jimbo Fisher/Steve Ensminger types where they take a long time to execute and even then, the ball is heavily contested. LSU has receivers that should be running wide open over the field, but the way the routes are designed, they get covered easily or 2 receivers end up close to where the ball is supposed to be in the red zone.

That’s what they did against Clemson and it worked. They wanted to control the ball.
Let’s look at it a different way. If your receivers a fricking idiot and can’t get off the ball, then your quarterback is going to look terrible. LSU has one receiver that’s worth his salt.
There was a third and 2 where Nuss faked a handoff and “not so” Sharp leaked. Should have easily been a first down. He is too slow and didn’t run for it instead tried to continue outside. That isn’t on Nuss or the play calling. It was a very well designed play.

Sloan can’t make the decision to throw the passes or throw them well for Nuss.

NO BUT HE CAN CALL A FREAKING RUN PLAY TO THE OUTSIDE INSTEAD OF EVERY SINGLE TIME TRYING TO RUN THRU A WALL OF FLESH
The long run in the 4th was a bounce to the outside
imagine that!
as Kelly said "you just need 1"
