I love our defense, but the taunting has to stop. It will cost us a game eventually

No, this isn't an extreme take either. With our offense being so bad, especially when it come to just getting a first down and keeping the ball, we literally have ZERO margin for error on defense.

Without five turnovers last night, a pick six, and some holding calls actually being made, we likely lose thanks to Sloan and his terrible game planning.

I am still surprised that crew allowed us to get away with some pretty blatant unsportsmanlike penalties. We stepped over at least four guys. We stood over at least another five or six.

We can't keep doing that. Our defense is going to have to keep winning us games and there will eventually be one where this will keep a drive alive and cost us a critical TD. You can see this coming from a mile away and it is frustrating.

With that, pay Baker whatever you need to pay him to keep him here forever. I'm sold.

I don’t see much taunting as compared to some of our previous ones over the last 20ish years.

I honestly think they’re pretty tame. They celebrate, but it’s not usually directed at the opponent. And it’s not after giving up a 20 yard play thankfully.

It’s the Weeks brothers predominantly. Outside of them, I don’t think it’s been bad at all.

Taunting seemed worse last night. Didn't notice it all in previous games thankfully.

It was really bad in the second half.

Most of them, yes, but you can still see it. The ones that bother me the most are when they intentionally step over the player, and they did it at least four times after making a third down stop.

That is going to get flagged.

Of all the things that could cost this team a game this one is pretty low on the list of concerns.

Our offense wouldve come out of their shell more if pushed. We still wouldve won without the turnovers

One I forgot to add, we had a situation where a LB made a great play in the middle of the field, then he pushed the guy back down again when he was trying to get up. Got away with that one too.

Yep. I’m surprised West Weeks didn’t get a penalty for the numerous times he stood over downed players and taunted them.

Thank you. It was bad and I hated to see it. We have an elite defense and everyone knows it. It is now acceptable to act like you've done this before and just walk away.

Florida deserved it for their pregame shenanigans.

I thought the refs let both teams get away with more of that than usual last night. I'm almost hopeful we get a couple penalties for it against SLU so BK can make a point of it and get it out of our system.

BK explicitly praised Haulcy and Cooley for not doing this in camp. They've both done some flexing but I don't recall anything directed to opponents.

No Josh, conventional wisdom om the Rant is that LSU would not have attempted a pass in the final seven minutes even if we were losing because we didn’t have 5 interceptions. LSU’s offensive play calls would have stayed exactly the same.

According to the OP, LSU’s defense had zero margin for error, even though we won by 10 points. If we would have given up another point, we would have lost.
