It is still surreal.

The guy that preached that we have become all too radicalized, that we hate each other too freely, that we should talk about it, respect each other and have a nice debate and learn from each other. The moderate, milquetoast guy that pulled everything from the Bible and the Constitution.

Seeing the absolute hate for THAT guy online and his murder being celebrated...

The right tried "let's talk about it". He was killed for it.

I seriously can't imagine what they are going to think of the guy that comes next.

((They)) murdered a man that was undoubtedly going to be elected president one day by the kids he was speaking to.

Essentially, ((they)) murdered our youth. Or so they thought.

Someone post the Obi Wan gif.

I told my wife yesterday, it's a weak minded person who has not other retort to someone else's words than to resort to physical violence.

Turning Point USA, Charlie's organization, is a 501c non profit. I've made a donation and hope many others will to help advance the cause and support the organization going forward.

There are links to get involved, to buy merchandise as well as donate funds to the cause.

Lol, did Carlin include Malcom X with people that taught we should live together in harmony?

This is why I didn't like Charlie and couldn't stand watching his videos. I felt he was far too nice and respectful to the opposition and it's because he was a good man who didn't abandon his principles because some psychopath in dire need of an arse beating yelled and called him names. He wanted to be their friend. He wanted to listen. He merely wanted to have a civil conversation.

I would have never been able to maintain my composure like he was but I'll also never be a fraction of the man he was either. Whoever replaces Charlie won't be as kind and forgiving as he was. Take that to the bank.
