Many/Most Universities have a “free speech” space of some kind. A memorial idea for Kirk.

These should all be named for him. Thoughts?

It won’t happen on liberal campuses but there will be a few conservative colleges that will and deservedly so

The entirety of any public university should be a free speech zone.

Whether you agreed or disagreed with him, he was willing to debate ideas fairly.

Let’s hope his memory promotes more of that.

Free Speech Alley at LSU in the 80's was awesome. Forgive me if I misremember some of the names but Duhe and pastor Jerry (I think) were fun to listen to. Listening to the bitching about Angelle was fun as a conservtive. Hanging out at FSA was a highlight of my midday course schedule.

Prefer “Kirk Reeducation Complex” at the moment

But perhaps yours is the better idea

It was still there in the late 90s.. hopefully it still is today.

But really all parts of a public institution should be "free speech" inclusive.

I agree. It was nice walking around campus without it being a circus like FSA. I spent most of my time between Highland Rd and Tiger Stadium. Longest walk was from Lockett to CEBA. I lived in Tigerland but ate many meals at Hatcher.
