Syder Mitchell I heard he was hard to block in the spring and fall. What's up with him?

We will need him in a game like this. Florida is going to run right at us. We need bigger bodies in the middle. Why hasn't he seen the field?

It would be pretty bad arse if he comes in this game, because was made for this game.

If we have that kind of depth where guys that haven’t seen the field because they don’t fit that particular game plan, then I’m fine with it.

2 reasons:

1. He's like the 5th or 6th DT right now. Just don't think the coaches want to take any reps away from those first 4 of McKinley, Breaux, Gooden, and Guillory.

2. The defense has not seen very many plays. 58 against Clemson, 53 against LA Tech. That takes away potential snaps for any rotation players. That's what happens when you're forcing 3 and outs at a high rate.

Edit: He's also not on the team anymore, apparently

he's more of a bo davis 0-tech nose guard. not a great fit with what Kyle Williams wants to do

Hes a 1-trick pony. But is a damn good move. Hes strong and has good pad level and he just bullies his way through. Gap control is a big thing. Trust the coaches, there rotation is not to sit good players. The players ahead of him are better right now. His time will come.

Well, everyone is apparently hard to block for our offensive line, so I wouldn't read too much into that...

Maybe use him for goal line situations?

I would love to see him on the field. But at the same time I really don't want to need to see him on the field..)

I think that's a given if it's near the goal line. Also third & inches or fourth and inches out really short.. type situations etc. Or if a team tried the tush push..
I honestly think we should've seen him by now at least once, but I imagine that's a good thing that we haven't needed to

He was a Bo Davis guy. Maybe didn't gel with the new D-line coach.
