I am fascinated by some local stories, and Im looking for more info on Teamsters in Baton Rouge area. There doesnt seem to be any relevant info on how exactly Partin was involved with Hoffa. Also where did the Teamsters meet up in Baton Rouge, where did they eat, what clubs/bars?

This thread ended just as it got good: Edward Grady Partin was a rat LINK

Can anyone keep that thread going?

You finally connected the dots. Be careful bubba. My uncle was very naive back in 78 when he made the same connections. Some very powerful people are not gonna be happy about this thread.

I heard many years ago that one of Hoffa’s lieutenants was in town the night Jim Leslie got hit

I know some Partins from Zachary that are relatives of EGP. They have some stories about the Teamsters back in the 70s-80s as the family was in deep. One of Ed's brothers wrote a book.

You were friends with or were tertiary friends with Buddy or his wife. I don't remember which wife, Arlene or possibly Donna. Maybe it was his friend Billy. It's been too long ago to remember the ties there. Ed Partin was head of the local teamsters union in BR, Jimmy Hoffa was head of the teamsters union overall. Partin testified against Hoffa and sent him jail for 8 years. Buddy said that Partin barely had any in person interaction with Hoffa. Partin was told what to say and "made" to testify by the government with some assurances that it was a dog & pony show and Hoffa wouldn't go to jail but was double crossed. Buddy defended Partin as not being a snitch but who knows what was true with all of that. If I remember any more details, I'll post them here but that's been a long time ago.
As far as restaurants, he mentioned eating at Pedigo's a lot.

I remember a story my dad told me many years ago. He and my mom went to my grandfather's house (mom's dad) one evening and there sitting around the table were Partin and a group of his associates eating supper and drinking highballs. My grandfather was a big union railroad guy back then. My dad said later that week there was a report of a tractor trailer loaded with dynamite that exploded in the woods somewhere in Mississippi.
