-Best places to purchase, and why?

-Any brands exceeded the mileage warranty in your experience?

-Any brands that have woefully underperformed the warranty?

-Any way to keep my wife from destroying two sets for whatever she’s driving before I ever pick up a nail?

I forecast average wear (12k miles/year). Have bought a lot of tires, seems like a crapshoot, so looking for others opinions.

Discount tire

Pay the 25$ warranty for each tire.

Mysteriously get nails in the sidewalls every 6-months/1 year. Get brand new replacement tire of equal or lesser value.

Rinse, repeat.

Well
Most of them are round. They require air and rotation. They have also gone up in price with Trumps tariffs.

You can't just look at the brand, like with appliances. They're built in different plants for different purposes. Discount Tire is the place to go, especially after they merged/bought TireRack. You can buy whatever tire gets great reviews for how you drive on TireRack and ship them directly to Discount Tire for installation.

Check her tire pressure regularly, because she's not going to tell you the TPMS has been warning her about off pressures for months.

He made it sound like he’s intentionally putting nails in his tires to scam the replacement warranty.
