Why doesn’t the AMC Mall of LA upgrade its seats?

They’re all “reserved seating” but no Dolby and no signature recliners in any auditorium.
I’m stuck having to go to O’Neal all the time and that theater feels a good bit older but has better amenities

Google helped me out here. They renovated the O’Neal location in 2017, need to do the mall cheapskates

I remember when that theater at O’Neal went from nearly flat seats to stadium seats.

The only reason to go to AMC is if you have Stubs. If you aren’t stuck with a service from a specific theater then you should probably be going to Celebrity. Their place is always clean, few people are there, and it’s easy to get in and out of.

Probably the quality of clientele going to the Mall AMC
Just go to Cinemark Perkins Rowe, it’s way better and the people aren’t sketchy mall people

I go to AMC because of the Dolby screen. I don’t think any other theater compares, the xD at cinemark isn’t as good

Honestly I’m not sure if they have the full Dolby Cinema with the screens. I know they have Dolby Atmos sound on the main 2 auditoriums.
It’s on George O’Neal/Coursey and Jones Creek.

Dolby has some sort of exclusive deal with AMC for their “Dolby cinema”, but yeah the audio would be Dolby for other places

I went to the mall to watch Superman about two months ago. First time I had been there in several years. I couldn't believe the seats didn't recline.
Also the sound was terrible. It would get very low to the point you couldn't hear it.
The place was clean though.
Won't go back. Celebrity is the place to go

I go to cinemark perkins rowe mostly but ill hit AMC mall if the times call for it. I always go at lunch during the day though so the crowds are normally light either way. Celebrity and amc oneal are to out of the way for me
