Services that offer secure cloud access/backup for business.

What I'm looking for is a hosted virtual PC essentially that stores everything on the cloud, can be accessed from anywhere, and is backed up regularly.
I've looked at Microsoft Azure but I'm not sure I understand it. Also seems very expensive compared to business products I'm finding that are about $100/month per user
Any suggestions?

Look at Backblaze. They can also back up network attached storage devices pretty cheaply.
For these services, there are usually two or three classes of storage. For simplification purposes, say, hot, warm and cold. Hot is fast, cold is slow (again, simplifying). Hot is more expensive, cold is less expensive.
There is also usually an option to retain multiple backups. In the case of ransomware, for instance, it's usually on your system and infecting you two weeks before you notice it. This means you'd want the backup that was two weeks and one day old for a "clean" restoration.

Can whatever service you're wanting to run be enabled in the cloud? Having a virtual PC may not be necessary.

Yeah I'm using the wrong lingo I think.
Essentially need a network on the cloud for folder/document management. Like a onedrive shared space where folks can access up to date docs

Office365. I’ve used it plenty with clients.

I'm not sure if this would fit your "virtual PC" requirement, but wouldn't Google Workspace work?
How much space do you need?
You can get 5TB in GWS Plus for $22/mo per user.

SharePoint. You get 1TB with your 365 plans. Anything from Business Standard and up which is 12.50/month per user. No brainer. Way better than Google shite and you get to use your regular apps.
So if you already have email with Microsoft and the office package you already have SharePoint.

What's the difference between using SharePoint and hosting a cloud server via Azure?
SharePoint requires the upload of new documentation rather than real time work access?

Not a bad idea. I appreciate the info.

Biggest difference is you won't have to manage it yourself. No assigning resources, installing software, managing networks, etc. SharePoint lists, forms, and workflows are also pretty invaluable.

I have the OneDrive space through 365. Is sharepoint essentially the Dropbox version to share files with folks?
