The level of aggressiveness and speed reminded me of 2003 NC team. That team averaged about giving up only 260 yards per game

Holding Clemson to 31 yards rushing shocked me. If we can make teams 1-dimensional, it will just unfair with the secondary we have.

I am just curious to see how the defense adapts. Being in a traditional 4-3 base for majority of the game can leave a lot of receivers open downfield. Asking Safeties to consistently play 1-on-1 with receivers is not a good matchup.

I'll be curious to see how Baker continues to develop the defense. I would expect us to play more DBs as the year goes on with taking out a DT or end. But man I loved the aggressiveness and how much the team loved to bring the wood.

Yeah it's wonderful to see the D is back.

And the Offense can get scary good too as the O-Line plays more.

Weapons everywhere.

Baker calls what is needed. He has one formation with only one down lineman. And I think that was pyburn.

Defenses in general seem to be catching up to these new offenses. We have ourselves the best mind in the business for the current game.

I watched the replay Sunday night without my heart pounding. LOL. Dom McKinley needs a ton of praise. He was throwing double-teams like ragdolls allowing Weeks and Perk to hunt.

It gets lost because the offense was so bad that it got Les Miles fired, but the 2016 team had a solid defense too. Allowed only 15.8 ppg, and shutdown Lamar Jackson in the bowl game. In LSU's 4 losses that year, the defense only gave up 16, 18, 10, and 16 points.

Tre White, Jamal Adams, Devin White, Beckwith, Arden Key, Godchaux, Donte Jackson. Key broke the LSU single season sack record that year.

Its gonna be hard to keep Blake. Probably already has some thinking " if we have to fire our coach and bring in a new guy"
