I spend a lot of time at the keyboard and I prefer quality keyboards over cheap "mushy" feeling ones. I like a full size (with numberpad) that has a distinct tactile click. I'm currently using a Keychron Q6 Max which I really like, but the switches are a little soft for my liking and am thinking about changing out the switches to something a bit stiffer.

Does anyone have any advice on this?

Also, is anyone using an IBM Model M (pre-Lexmark) with their modern PC? I miss the keyboard of my early computer days.

Logitech G413 is what you want. Mechanical keys sit up about 1/4in and feel/click like a 70s typewriter.

I've had a klicky Glorious GMMK v2 65 (65% of full size) as my primary keyboard for a year (I got it that small because it used to be a secondary keyboard for a PC I rarely used on my desk). When I'm on calls with people on my iPhone, people can hear it, but nobody on Teams meetings can hear it, surprisingly. It's got key travel similar to what I remember a Model M was (my recollection from 30 years ago.)

I usually go with pre-configured versions of keyboards that are under $120 whenever I have to buy one. The current gen doesn't seem to have any that include the 10key, but it's available separately.

A mechanical with blue switches. They are the most tactile.

I have had browns and blues. Really liked both. Specifically a Ducky Legend with Browns. I fricked up and decided to try silvers on my current Corsair K95. Typos out the arse. If i look at it wrong it will register a keystroke.
