You know damn well he knew what was supposed to happen. He is the one that was ejected for fighting. He was still at Houston when they got this letter informing Houston that he would be suspended the first half of the first game this season. He may have thought it would got away since he transferred and he wouldn't have to serve the punishment. Either way he should have sometime in the last 6 months let his coaches know what had happened. How was LSU supposed to know he was ejected from his last game at Houston? Is LSU supposed watch every snap of every game he played in?

Sometime after the game, the ruling was changed to fighting. UH knew about it and did not inform Haulcy as he was going to the portal.
UH informed Clemson of this. Haulcy had no idea.

He was not ejected for fighting. He was ejected for unsportsmanlike conduct. The call was changed by the BIG 12 and given to Houston in December. On December 8, 2022, Haulcy announced that he would be entering the transfer portal. On December 31, 2022, he entered. I suspect Houston did not even tell him, and probably considered him persona non grata.
