Is it too late to make cuttings on crape myrtles to plant in late october

I have no idea what I'm doing. I just have dozens and dozens I'd like to turn into 100 or so more.

Just cut them down and theyll send up shoots all over the place.

Best to do cuttings in the early spring when mist plants are really putting out new growth.. Then a cutting, if you are successful at keeping it alive, needs at least a year before you put it in the ground. If you really are experienced at cuttings you can compress that time some but not a whole lot. I have cuttings I started in spring 1 1)2 years ago and I am finally planting them when the weather cools in 6vweeks or so.

Ive already waited three years to plant. At this point, it'd be nice if the driveway was covered within 5 years
