Marquez Valdes-Scantling released by the Seattle Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks brought in Marquez Valdes-Scantling on a one-year, $4 million deal this offseason, only for him to not make their 53-man roster. The speedy veteran, who spent last season with the Buffalo Bills and the Saints, caught all three of his targets for 33 yards in the preseason, including a 27-yarder from Jalen Milroe in the preseason finale. But with the emergence of fifth-round rookie Tory Horton, Valdes-Scantling was deemed expendable.

Yes. He was very productive for us last year.

definitely like him more than Wilson.
I was kind of shocked Wilson made it over Pettis

He has been put on the street a number of times by a number of teams, but I would rather have him along with our 4th round draft choice back that we traded for Vele;

Both Tipton and Wilson made the 53.
On MVS we tried to bring him back but Seattle offered more money. I'll be interested to see what happens with him now. They may feel they have that role covered well enough, especially since he was basically the Sheed replacement after he got hurt.

Mickey should call him and asked how chasing that bag worked for him
Even though his role has basically been filed, you have to also plan that Olave, Shaheed & Cooks will all miss some time during the year. Plus MVS did have some time with Rattler

Yeah I wouldn't be mad if we brought him back. Just not sure the team feels like they need him right now.
I guess it's possible they would maybe see him as an upgrade over Wilson.

He's over 30 and won't ever be a major contributor for any team again. He should chase the most money.

Dude is definition of a replacement level player. But that’s probably a decent improvement on our roster.

He’s a professional athlete pushing the end of his career. Mickey would be an absolute retard to ask this question as every journeyman player should be doing the same thing.

Wasn’t a comment to be taken as seriously as some took it. I don’t care what point they are in their career, I think all players should do whatever they have to do to maximize their earning potential. Whether it’s take the biggest deal, or even if it’s to take a chance for less money and more playing time to try and maximize the next contract.
