I know we want 3-star QB Barrett Bailey to walk on and he might be willing to do that. I also see 2-star LB Seth Fruge lists only us as his college choice so I assume he wants to walk on?

Any other "high" profile kids want to walk on for next season? Seems pretty cool to me we're getting even 3-star caliber players wanting to walk on now.

Bailey, Fruge, Tyler Listi P/K, and Tyler Glynn DB from WM are invited walk-ons.

He is a U-high kid. Obviously a big LSU fan.

Tyler Listi P/K,
Kid could easily sign a D1 scholarship for kicking. He will push for the job. Very impressed with him in an All Star game. Kicked a 51 yd FG with a 20mph crosswind. Put all of his kickoffs through the endzone.

No offense, but Alleman got that same type of hype last year.

Kicking FGs off a tee is so much easier.

We did have a pretty decent kicker last year.

Alleman is a great kicker, and I expect him to be the guy at some point.

He didn't win the kickoff job which is why he was brought in.

What a kicker did in high school does not translate into success at the college level. I just don't believe in hyping high school kickers.

I wish him the best. I wish both of them the best.

Tyler Listi is a steal as a walk on and he will contend for the job in two years. He is an excellent punter too

Tyler Listi

Is very good. I played with him this year and rarely missed.
the 51 yarder he kicked at the all star game was with no tee

a 51yd FG off a tee means nothing...it's totally different kicking off the ground

Seth Fruge is a preferred walk-on and he is going to LSU.

Remind me of the difference between a preferred walk-on and a greyshirt?

and can anyone name an example of either at LSU that has earned a starting job and post season honors?

Preferred walk on is on the team without trying out, but doesn't have a scholarship. Greyshirt has a scholarship, but can't enroll in school for 1 year.

Justin Vincent was a greyshirt.

As far as the walk ons this year, Glynn could be very good in kick coverage with his speed.
