Southwest is offering another promotional companion pass which will be timed perfectly for ski trips this winter. If you’re interested you’ll need to act fast as you need to register for the promotion and book your flights by Thursday August 28, 2025. Travel must be completed by November 15, 2025 and the pass will be issued on January 6, 2026 and will remain valid until March 6, 2026.

Did this last year by booking a quick weekend trip to Dallas. Come ski season never ended up using this benefit. Now with no free checked bags my incentive to fly southwest specifically for skiing is gone. No more driving out of my way to MCO for delayed flights, screaming kids, and TSA chaos . Thanks for this reminder

I've got a Southwest credit card so that didn't factor into my decision. They're just like every other airline now so if the schedule and price is right, I'll still fly them.

I did the earlier one in February and Mrs. H2O and I are flying AUS-MSY for the LSU/Florida game. Saved me a few hundred bucks.

Saw that, but didn't even open the email to see the dates. I'm getting SOOOO many promo things from SW right now its ridiculous.

Very interested in their Q3 results come October. I have a feeling things aren't going well since the bag fiasco.

I've heard a rumor from more than one person that they are looking at buying all or part of Spirit.

What in the actual F?

They are already, even though not price wise, a "budget" airline. Compared to the likes of United, Delta, American, etc... Why would a budget airline buy an even more budget airline?

IMO, SW is on the ropes after Elliotts involvement and the asinine changes, this could be a death blow if it happens.

I think Southwest just wants some of the assets like gates/slots.

The Indigo Partners jet was in Fort Lauderdale (Indigo owns Frontier) and I think a merger there is the most likely scenario.
