What are your thoughts on this season and the future for Vick as head coach? He has the opportunity to do great things and turn around programs like Deion and Eddie George. Will he follow them into FBS after HBCU success? Will be fun to follow.

I think it's a great thing when these former nfl stars start their coaching career at HBCU's. It's a win for everyone involved and surely helps with funding for their programs, which they often lack. I'm sure Vick can relate to and hopefully teach some young men what not to do given his life experiences. As far as a high profile D1 coaching job, I have to say that the first thing that comes to my mind every time i hear his name is the dogfighting and Ron Mexico stuff, but if he's successful enough someone will hire him for a bigger job. I'm really interested in seeing what Eddie George can do at Bowling Green also. Marshall Faulk is currently the RB coach at Colorado with Deion, it will be interesting to see if he is interested in a head coaching job and takes a similar path as well. I could definitely see him being hired at San Diego St where he played after a successful stint at an HBCU.

That would be pretty cool, definitely agree on that. I would be pulling for him.

I don’t know, I don’t really have a dog in this fight.

JK. Vick served 2 years which is more than many people who commit crimes against humans and he has been a pretty awesome person since. I wish him the best but I have no idea what kind of coach or leader he is.

No cap. The only people that still hate Mike are white women and liberals.

He is not an awesome person. Doing what he did disqualifies him from that

100%. Served his time and by all accounts has been a model citizen since his release from jail. Absolutely don't agree with what he did, but if he continues to stay out of trouble he deserves a second chance at living a productive life.

I'm intrigued to see how he does. He's a native of the area. I can imagine him having a lot of fun there. I don't think he will have Deion success, but I do think he will have some success there.

There’s been a sudden availability of space at the Norfolk Humane Society.

You fricking dolts defending him or claim he paid his debt to society, need to do a 30 second search with images. This can’t be deflected upon cultura or any other weak excuse, right?

You people realize this sack of shite tortured, mutilated, and let the dogs that didn’t make Team Vick get torn to bits by those that did. All the while the imbecile was a multimillionaire QB and yet, just had to photograph and video it all for posterity. If he had even the tiniest shred of humanity all he had to do was put a bullet in the back of their heads and be done with it…he didn’t!

It is a tough place to win. I think they will be an under-dog in most of their games....

I'm happy for Mike. He's paid his penance, did his time, and came out the other side a better human being.

I'm pulling for him.

So you don't believe in redemption and/or that people can change for the better(or worse)?

Cool.
