After the little snafu with Starship 36... we're finally ready to light the candle again for the 10th test flight of the Starship program.

Super Heavy Booster #16 teams up with an unexpected partner, Starship #37, in the hopes that FINALLY the block 2 (or v2.0) Starship can fully complete its flight plan without losing attitude control and burning up in the atmosphere

Today's flight plan:

- You'll notice... there will NOT be an attempt to catch the Super Heavy Booster back at the launch site with the chopsticks. SpaceX is once again trying to see what kind of angles the booster can reenter at and survive. They tested this last time and the angle caused damage which caused the booster to suffer a RUD when the engines lit for the landing burn (all within test parameters). I also believe they want to test if an outer ring engine can make up for a failed middle ring engine during either the boost back burn or landing burn

- There are 2 planned tests during the coast phase, an engine relight test & a payload deployment test with Starlink satellite simulants... 2 tests they've been trying to do for the last few flights but haven't been able to do due to the vehicle's loss of control

And in case you forgot what happened to Starship 36...

For your late night viewing to wet your whistle prior to the Starship launch... a Falcon IX launch to resupply the ISS

and a booster landing on the droneship "A Shortfall of Gravitas"

launch window opens at 1:45 AM CDT

There’s a bunch of Mexican environmentalists that were planning to disrupt the launch by having boats near the booster landing area in the Gulf. Hopefully the Coast Guard will take care of things.

Man I’d really like to see a successful test today.

All that talk about returning to the moon and on to Mars to become multi-planetary is not going to happen if these ships don't work.

Launch Day info-graphic flood.

A lot of experimentation on this one as always. The payload is the data harvested. Thanks to Starlink, enthusiasts like me get live hi-def video of the launch and re-entry events.
