Bruce Prichard revealed the struggle he had to persuade Vince to take a chance on Mean Mark - the future Undertaker:
“I get a phone call from Paul Heyman, who was managing Mark in WCW, and asked me if there was any interest, that his contract was coming up in WCW, wanted to know if there was any interest in New York
"And I went to Vince, and Vince kind of looked at him and didn't see a whole lot in him
"And I asked him, you know, 'Can we please meet him? There's something special about this guy'
"I didn't know him from Adam - I spoke to him on the phone a couple of times. And it was one of those things that you just saw something in somebody
"They were set to come to New York to meet Vince the day after [Great American Bash]
"Mark had worked with Lex Luger and Taker had dislocated his hip, but worked the match because he knew that Vince was watching and wanted to have a great match
"The match sucked. I'm not going to say it was all Lex's fault, but also, Taker had a dislocated hip
"Vince called me - I was in the pool in Randy Savage's house - and Vince told me he wasn't interested in meeting him: 'He's just another big redheaded basketball player'
"I had to call Mark... I did not tell them that, you know, 'we are canceling the meeting'; I said, 'we're going to postpone it'. He understood"
"And I got back and begged [to Vince]: 'Just meet him'"

I remember him as The Punisher/Texas Red in the USWA

They destroyed his podcast by getting rid of the dude who just shooting the shite, putting his wife on it, and watering it down because it is now a WWE product.
People are calling him Mark McCool these days.

It was Mark’s decision to sell to WWE. Sad though because the original show was on its way to a million YouTube subscribers. He even passed Jim Cornette.

The clip is worth it just for Heyman's mullet. I don't watch wrestling, every time I try I'm just overcome by a lot of the stupidity of it, but a guilty pleasure of mine is watching/listening to podcast like 6 feet under, because while I don't enjoy wrestling itself, it's a fascinating business filled with egos and interesting personalities and the behind the scenes stories are way more interesting than the product.

I remember when XPac was the 1 2 3 Kid.
I always made my little brother be the 1 2 3 Kid when we wrestled.

I know. And he knew what they'd do to the show.
