Rod & Reels for Offshore Boat(Tuna mainly) & Other Related Stupid Questions

Pretty new to this offshore game, have done a ton of snapper and amberjack fishing but attempting to dabble into tuna & swords soon and get the boat outfitted to do such. Would be fishing mostly out of Grand Isle, maybe Venice on occasion.
Recommendations for tuna rod/reels? Would mostly likely be used for live bait chunking but would also maybe like to chase bigger fish in the fall/winter throwing big plastics. Leaning with 1 or 2 spinning reel setups for poppers, ~8' rod, something in the 18000ish reel size? Probably 2 or 3 conventional reels setups? Would probably like for these to double for both live bait and casting plastics, is that doable? ~8' rod? Would something like a Shimano Speedmaster 20 2 speed fit this bill?
Swordfish, sacrificial weight or no? Have a Tiagra 80w and rod and ordered all the leader and other necessary stuff, was planning to get some 5lb weights. Seems people are about 50/50 on if a sacrificial is needed or not.
I will add more stupid questions as I think of them, I'm in over my head here.

swords
All I have to offer is have some electricity involved for this. Hand cranking in a mile of line sucks.

We ain't got LP money
Going to get one of those drill attachment things and only attempt swords when there's plenty of able bodies around. We hand cranked one a few weeks ago with 4 of us swapping out and it wasn't terrible.

You're on the right track as far as spinning setups. I have a saragosa 18000 on a daiwa outrage that I really like. The speedmaster would probably work for large swimbaits as long as it's on the right rod. Alot of guys seem to be going to the okuma alijos for that application. Just need to make sure you have something that can land the fish pretty quickly or you most likely will get sharked.
As far as swords go, sacrifical weights is alot easier especially if just starting out. TBH swordfishing is pretty boring though, and I don't do alot of it.

Daiwa Seapower 1200 for ~$1000 for swords. And get a dedicated sword rod.
For popping reels, the Saragosa 14000 is THE workhorse popping reel.
Yes, youll need a 7'6-8' rod. Lots of good options there.
I dont think you can pull double duty on a tuna chunking rod and an artificials rod. Targeting cows with an 8' rod will be a PITA. The longer the rod, rhe more leverage the fish has on you.
But you can chunk and troll on the same 30W or 50W setups and short rods.

We've got a Tanacom 1200, I just figured a good sword might give it all it can handle.

Talica 50 for swords. We use a sacrificial weight but i get rebar from jobsites and tape a coat hanger to it so it’s basically free. We tried a bunch at first without it and would often end up fishing for an hour with a tangled line
We hand crank because we aren’t OT ballers
Avet makes some good options for conventional reel. Okuma DTR rods are a really good option B&B tackle in belle chase has a great selection too.

This was me monday. the sacrafice weight would not come off right away and i reeled up a tangulation of wind on and squid 45min later.
but the talica 50 with checkin bottom rod is very sweet. i had a drill attachment and it was faster to retreive the line than set it out.

I’m a Avet guy, the HXW is my favorite reel around small enough to handle easily, and stronger then reels comparatively sized. Lots of drag on those sob you can stop just about anything as long as line holds up and that means quality guides.

Baw get yourself a talica 12ii and pair it with an okuma xheavy PCH. I’ve seen 200lb tuna come over the rail on that setup paired with an NLBN on the other end. You won’t regret it
