Get the double axle. Biggest benefit is that if you blow a hub you can continue on to a safe location to change it out. Lose a hub on a single axle trailer you have to change it then and there or drag the trailer on its spindle which would ruin it. Already lost a hub on the Manchac bridge with a single axle. Was not a good time!
My tractor is a 2021 and it has 672 hours.
I have a L3901 that I maintain 13 acres with. It is a great tractor and gets alot of work done. Biggest constraint with it is the lifting capacity of the FEL. To me, tractors point of diminishing return is how much time do you have to complete a task. Will the 3901 cut the same amount of grass with a 5' shredder as the MX6000 will with a 7'? Yes but it will take you longer. Weigh how much time you spend in the seat of the tractor a year and figure if the extra money Is worth your time. Keep in mind a bigger tractor means bigger and more expensive implements trailers etc.
You're on the right track as far as spinning setups. I have a saragosa 18000 on a daiwa outrage that I really like. The speedmaster would probably work for large swimbaits as long as it's on the right rod. Alot of guys seem to be going to the okuma alijos for that application. Just need to make sure you have something that can land the fish pretty quickly or you most likely will get sharked.
As far as swords go, sacrifical weights is alot easier especially if just starting out. TBH swordfishing is pretty boring though, and I don't do alot of it.

Looking for opinions on what to buy. Mostly going be used for grouper and tiles but maybe swords once in a blue moon. I've used the Daiwa Tanacoms in the past and liked them. I see Daiwa has come out with the Sea Power which just looks to be an upgraded Tanacom. I know LP's are the best in the business but I cant justify spending that much on one. What does everyone run and how do you like it?
I am the same way. Never really found it an issue with a rifle you just learn to cycle the bolt with your right hand.

I've been shooting a browning cynergy 28" in shadowgrass camo for about 10 years. Have had next to zero issues with it and it shoots whatever rusted shells I feed it. Only downside is the camo has not held up well and I sometimes miss the 3rd shot for cripples.

The new hybrid cats are a great choice but if you have ran mono hulls most of your life the cat handling is an acquired taste. Not in a bad way just different. The problem with mono hulls in the 25' - 30' range is fish box capacity on anything but the flagship fishing boats, Contender, Yellowfin, Bluewater etc. It's a hard to fit large cobia or yellowfin in the fish boxes of most production line boats because alot of manufacturers are prioritizing forward seating and family features over fishing. If I were to do a mono hull my short list would be Contender 25t or 28t, Bluewater 2550 or 2850, Yellowfin 29, Pair marine 24dv or 27. All of these have twin engines can be equipped with trolling motor set ups and still float shallow enough to trout fish in the bay and on the beaches but still have the fuel capacity and fish box space for the fish we encounter on the northern gulf coast.
Had a 42x30 x 14 sidewalls with 1 12x12 and 2 10x10 roll up doors installed after Ida. Its a galvanized square tubing frame Star building. The slab was already poured and I did the wiring myself. It was 28k installed.
Ya thats how we do it. My favorite set up right now is a a shimano baitrunner 8000 with some 80 lb braid down to whatever size leader they will eat. The live line feature is nice because you dont have to try and flip a bail while the fish is ripping out line. I should of got the 12k size for the extra drag though. 10-12# class fish will still break me off sometimes.
If you plan on mangrove snapper fishing i would recommend something with at least 25 lbs of drag.

I think one of the fish pro's would be great for surf fishing if you do it alone.

Browning cynergy 3.5" in shadowgrass blades camo. Use it as my primary shotgun for everything. Have killed ducks, geese, deer, rabbits, and squirrels. Gun has literally never missed a lick and can shoot rusty shells that my buddies with semis would just throw away. I do miss the 3rd shot sometimes for cripples though.
How do you like that d20? Does it have enough arse to rip out roots? I need to clear some land and i want to build a crawfish pond, do you think it would be big enough for that?

Thanks. Do you know about how big the boat he runs is? Our new lease is about a 15 mile run 1 way. Currently run a 50 hp on a 18x54 and wouldnt want to sacrifice too much speed running that far but this spot is very shallow and full of stumps.

Does anyone own or ran one of the 40 hp Go-devils with the reverse? If so, how are they and would you recommend?
Bought a 2021 used Titan 4x4 with 5k miles on it last year for under 40k. Truck came with a transferable 100k or 5 year powertrain warranty which was a big selling point for me. I pull around my 40 hp tractor and bay boat pretty often and have had no issues getting going or stopping either and thats without trailer brakes. You will probably find your best "deal" on a Titan compared to other brands.

Storage shouldnt be an issue i can space them out in the rafters of my shop. Luckily father in laws a carpenter and he has a 24" planer. Do you know how long the dry period takes on on cypress down here? Or would i just need to keep testing it untilbi get the right moisture contenet?
Recently had a 42x30 Star galvanized building put up. 14' side walls with 2 10x10 doors and 1 12x12 door. I used metal carport depot out of Hammond and the price on there model builder on the website is pretty much what you pay. My building was 27k after installation. Already had the slab in place from before Ida. Mallet for the same exact building quoted me 63k. Hope this helps.
