Did Trump's team argue to get the case tossed, or just to get the dollar amount tossed?

Just the money. It'll get dismissed entirely later.

They argued both. The judges all agreed to dismiss the dollar amount, but had a split decision on the case itself.

Really wish Trump could sign an EO forcing courts to stop investigating him. He’s the most investigated man in the history of America and they have found absolutely nothing. It’s such a waste of time.

A 3 2 decision where 2 judges said the case needs to be retried and the fraud charge tossed and another saying it should be tossed entirely. Only 2 upheld the ruling

It was an effort by Letitia James to have a trophy win against Trump and what this opinion has done is reduce what was a mounted marlin to something of a guppy. It has removed the fine and left in place the injunctive relief that President Trump can now appeal. So, it is possible that even that could go to the wayside.”

This is what Johnathon Turley said. It sounds like they were only arguing about the money.

A 3 2 decision

Keep in mind, this court (as well as the Court of Appeals – New York’s highest court) have judges that are appointed by the governor. Further, this particular appeals court is based in New York. So, we are still basically talking about a far left. politicized court that is hardly non-biased. This case was completely fricking ridiculous and should never have been brought in the first place. It will eventually get overturned. It might take the Supreme Court to do it, but it will be overturned.

I think the majority agreed it should have been either re-tried or never brought in the first place.

A minority agreed in the verdict.

All agreed the fine was unconstitutional
