You also voted to sell off many public lands.

Those of us who actually give a frick about public lands and don't want everything turned into shitty developments pushed back and thankfully won.

Swings both ways, pal.

It's much harder to sell land with large transgender flags.

How many public lands have been sold? How many are remaining?

If you want to be fair, which is highly doubtful, how many thousands of public owned acres were land grabbed for "environmental protection" by your fake president's administration?

Yo, useful idiot, your communist party (Democrat Party) would love to not only own and control 46% of America's land but all of it. Venezuela is looking for militia volunteers you might want to sign up.

What does that have to do with the article? Nothing I suppose. Why did you use your argument about selling public lands for a story about a trans getting fired for hanging a flag?

No, it atually doesnt

You are conveniently forgetting all those some lands started out as as private lands, and were seized without compensation "to protect them"

You also are conveniently forgetting Kelo v New London, where the govt can seize private land (and then make money by doing so)

So, No, its only swung one way since Teddy started walling off sections of the country

How the government obtained the land is not important because those people are gone, and now we must conserve the land for future generations of Americans.

If we were a just nation, we would give them to the tribes to manage.

Native Americans managed the lands for ages and did a better job than us.

I’m MAGA all way, but you are flat wrong with these statements. The land in western U.S. was originally federal land, either bought from France in the Louisiana purchase or won/bought from Mexico in the aftermath of the Mexican war. The states that were carved out from these lands signed away all their claims to that land in return for their admission to the United States. The federal government then gave back some of that land to the states to use as they saw fit.

The lands that Roosevelt designated as National Forests were already federal lands. Those lands were simply unclaimed federal land that Roosevelt protected by giving them National Forest designation.

The federal government did not take western lands from private ownerships. Those lands were always federal lands from the get go.

In order to have intelligent discussions about these issues let’s at least get the facts right.

The "sell off of public lands" was the idea of one Senator and he botched it terribly. He had the correct idea but was very poor in the way he went about it and got blindsided by enviro-loons.

The idea is to sell off lands in those areas where towns are land locked by BLM/NFS lands. No one is selling off National Parks.

And the Feds have been selling off federal land every year - this just hit the headlines because he wanted to expand it and screwed it up.

And yes, it's great she got canned.

It was safer than traditional hunting and they did not drive the species to near extinction only for their hides or rail traffic.

Our ancestors owned slaves.
