Looking for a Structural Engineer - BR Area

Does anyone have a recommendation(s) for a structural engineer to look at my house and determine if it needs foundation repair? Not one that works for a foundation repair company.

Try him first. He worked with us for a little over a year before deciding to join his dad. We still have a great relationship with him and send him overflow jobs regularly.
If he can't get to it I think he would likely refer you to us. We have a home inspector that we contract with that will inspect your house and give us a report so we could give you a recommendation. Of course, this also depends on our availability.

I’ll also give Ben another vote of confidence. He’s exceptional.

theres no downside to a visual inspection by a PE, but i would caution you that that will be all it is...a visual. if you have the original construction drawings for the foundation, that will be extremely helpful and will undoubtedly be the first question the PE asks.
i'm not sure why you are discounting an inspection by a foundation repair contractor, because that is what they do AND they can offer solutions. finally, you will be paying for the PE to produce a report, while most of the time the repair contractor will give you a free inspection and repair estimate.
put simply...if your foundation is slipping/heaving/cracking etc, you already know you have a problem and the solution will be to...engage a foundation repair contractor

I am in that boat in Terrebonne. I had Cable Lock come out but I feel like I want another opinion before I drop that kind of money

I used Davie Shoring to buck up and secure the foundation under an addition at my house they did a good job and fixed the problem
9/10 the problem is a base failure and not a structural concrete failure

I had some shifting after I had the pipes replaced under my home. Not sure if that is the cause but my tile has separated from the cement. I want to figure out if it is done before I fix my floors
