Neutral site of course, but at least it’s against a top program.

Texas tech is really good and spending money like no one’s business. This could be bad for us.

Will be a waxing administered by Texas Tech. McCasland is a real coach with a track record of success.

Well, they lost their second-best (would be) returning player to a former McNeese St HC whose name won't be mentioned. So there's that. Otherwise, McCasland (whose name was mentioned during LSU's coaching search in 2022) has been tremendous. If you want to see what the outlook for each team looks like at the moment, the latest Bracketology has Texas Tech is projected as a 6th seed in the NCAA Tournament. It has LSU as one of 2 SEC teams not in the tournament. Needless to say, these are two programs that have gone in the complete opposite direction over the last 3 years.

The good news is the game at least boost an otherwise weak Non-conf. schedule for LSU, and it should serve as a barometer ahead of SEC play. LSU will be an underdog. If they can't even compete in the game it may preview a long 2.5 months ahead in SEC play.

We are also supposed to be playing SMU in the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans as part of a double-header with the women. That may be the following weekend after TTech

What an overall underwhelming OOC schedule. You can tell this scheduling is a last ditch effort my McMahon to keep the con job going a little longer.

No, it's just a typical McMahon OOC schedule I said it last season, scheduling more than one SWAC team is inexcusable. Even if you win, games against SWAC teams are SOS killers. Yet, here are with two more. One of the very best things Wade did was schedule mid-major games that didn't necessarily excite the casual fan, but paid dividends at the end of the season with LSU's SOS rankings. McMahon's average non-conf. SOS at LSU has been 232.

By playing weak non-conf. schedule you give yourself little room for error. You have to go 12-1 or 11-2 just to give yourself a chance in non-con. play.
