Ruiz... you need to go.

Never. Loomis refuses to accept a true rebuild

Saints dont have the depth to cut Ruiz. He's not at any risk.

Cutting Ruiz would result in $14mm in dead cap next season. This is what yall want to do?

True... the only risk is to anyone he's supposed to be blocking for.

Why would you cut Ruiz? Hes about as average as it gets but he’s had games that’s he’s played really well. Not every player is gonna be elite but, who are you replacing him with? What vets do you want to cut? Davis? Taysom? Jordan (probably the only one that truly should go)? I see one true vet that should be cut but honestly i hope Jordan plays his final snap wearing the black and gold

Thats a good start.
The big issue is Loomis' bandaid addiction. Guys like Young, Reid, Blackmon. Yea solid players that make your roster fractions better now but will slow you down in the long run. They'll all be in their 30s before you even think about being a playoff team. Giving guys like Juwan Johnson $30 million.

It really is confusing on what you all want. You want to tank, you don’t want any vets, and you also complain when everyone isn’t a stud at their position. You do realize players in their 30s can compete? Play at a high level? This team as of now will have draft picks and appx 130 million to spend in the next couple of years? Yall want to tank and cut players but there’s nobody behind them to even play. So explain to me why you can’t have these vets on your team currently that’s all of a sudden gonna hold you back from being good in 2-3 years? They don’t. You’re just bitching to bitch

Stop signing expensive free agents. Stop backloading every contract by 90%. Get ahead of the cap so you can afford to cut off dead weight, when it’s necessary. Aquire as many picks as possible.
When you let things get this bad it’s impossible to recover overnight.

Loomis is not signing FAs or extending vets without the HC.

You are ranting against the wrong person. With all of the things you think High Life may be, his major consistency is draft better, sign cheap FAs to fill the roster limits, and play the games results be damned (preferably lose along the way). Once the aging vets are eliminated from the team, and you have a proper cap; then you focus on bringing in better FAs to help this team compete to win.

Who do you propose to replace him with?

A lot of cognitive dissonance on the board…

August 26th is big cut day.
Over 1,000 fa's let lose in the wild all at once.
Always a exciting day in the league.

What big free agents did we sign? We resigned some of our own guys, one which i like, Blackmon to one year deal, Reid to a very affordable deal, and we resigned our own tight end which imo is a slight overpay but the coaching staff really likes him. Again, answer my question, who the hell did they sign that is stopping them from rebuilding or having money in the future? The answer is simple, nobody. I’m not a Mickey apologist but my god, he just bitched just to bitch.

Another veteran that doesn't look like they've never played pro ball.

Not opposed to them but when you watch a vet, that was a first round pick out of college, look like he's snot nose UDFA.... it's time for him to go. But I'll at least give him one more preseason game.

What's your issue with Cesar Ruiz?

That as a vet like himself, he should be playing better and I don't care if it was the first pre-season game.
