Anyone have luck picking up WVUE (Fox NOLA) with antenna on the Northshore?

I’m getting 20+ channels but unable to pickup WVUE so far. Just trying to get Fox for Saints games. I have an indoor/outdoor flat antenna. Apparently they’re on UHF, and their website suggests rabbit ears. Anyone have a working setup for this? Any tips helpful.

Are you able to pick up WWL? That’s all that really matters.

I had to move my antenna outside and adjust the direction to get it. It was the weakest signal.

I live on South shore and have had great results with a clear stream antenna. I think this would be the best option with the amplifier. Seems like fox is listed as a "fair signal" from Covington. What are you using now? Mines in the attic but you might need to mount it outside on roof.

Yep. I am up in folsom and can get all the stations. My set up includes
Channel Master Pro model
Channel Master PreAMP
Make sure your antenna is about 15-20 ft up and aiming ~161 degrees
Fox does seem to go out a lot also

You think the antenna type makes the difference? Mine is a flat indoor/outdoor. Yours looks like old school rabbit ears. Is it outside or in an attic?

Download the TV Signal Finder app. You can put your address in and see where the transmitters are for the various stations. They have AR+ which allows you to use your phone to see exactly where the antenna needs to be pointed at. With a preamp, distribution amp, and antenna in my attic, I could never get both Fox and NBC to come in perfect. I am about 20 miles west of NO. I added a second antenna in a different part of my attic and was finally able to get both channels to come in clear.

I have never had luck with any of those flat ones. Maybe if you lived in Metairie but definitely not on the north shore. Mine is located outside of my house because of the type of plywood on my roof has the radiant blocker. If you do not have that type of plywood you can mount it inside your attic. You would just need to aim it the correct way.

My buddy in Covington is only able to get it since he put his antenna in the attic. Depending on where you are, you’ll have to do that or get an outdoor antenna.

I have the same channel master preamp. But I have the omnidirectional channel master antenna mounted on my eave because of the radiant barrier. I catch all NOLA channels, located on the northshore.
I had used some cheaper amplified outdoor antennas in the past as well, and also caught all stations. Never had much luck with the indoor window mount ones.
