Since ChatGPT performs all the searching and information aggregation for you, I hope we will see the end of those websites with the unnecessarily lengthy wording to make you endlessly scroll for what you're looking for.

The hundreds of websites that pop up with the same information worded slightly differently with ads popping at you every few seconds.

I long for the early days when the Internet wasnt so spammy and consisted of websites made by guys who just liked talking about the subject matter.

“AI search won't likely kill sponsored ads entirely, but it’s shaking things up. Traditional ads might take a hit as AI-driven search prioritizes relevance and user intent over paid placements. Models like me, trained to cut through noise, could reduce the effectiveness of generic banner ads or keyword-stuffed promotions. Data from recent trends shows ad spend shifting—global digital ad revenue grew 11% from 2022 to 2023, but platforms like Google and Meta are leaning harder into AI to refine targeting, not replace ads.

That said, ads won't vanish. They’ll evolve—think native, hyper-personalized formats blended into AI responses. If I’m answering your query, an advertiser might pay to subtly influence the context, like suggesting a brand in a conversational way. The catch? Users are savvier, and trust in AI hinges on transparency. If ads feel too sneaky, they backfire. X posts from marketers already gripe about ad blockers and AI filters cutting their reach—30% of users reportedly use ad blockers as of 2024.

The flip side? AI could make ads *better*. Instead of spammy pop-ups, you get tailored suggestions that actually fit your needs. But if platforms overplay their hand, users might ditch them for ad-free AI tools. It’s a tightrope.”

That’s what Grok says . . .

Try applying for a job. There are hundreds of sites aggregating the same job and will SPAM the crap out of you once they get your email address.

But, I don't see ads in browsers, because I don't use a shite browser. Try using Brave. Install Adblock. I've never even seen an ad here (I'd rather just pay you directly Chicken)

Ai replies will be littered with ads in no time.

Right now is the golden age, like the early internet. Bask in it, enjoy it while it lasts, for it will be gone soon.

No, your LLM AI will eventually make you watch an ad for the answer. Of course it will be related to the prompt and will then direct you to websites, etc.

This seems like the next problem. Is this giving me the best answer or the answer that is most easily monetized based on everything you know about me.

It’s that, or you pay for premium.

At this point AI is providing a search summary along with your results.
